Hey guys,
Ever since I got my first TT, Christmas 2015, I've always felt that I'm not getting the best out of it. I set it up myself, based on internet tutorials and advice given here but I never went into any detail using scales or protractors or anything like that. I've read recently that anything other than perfect calibration could damage my stylus and records, but I'm a bit intimidated by the perceived complexity of doing it right...
I was wondering if anyone here would be so kind as to come over with your tools of the trade and take a look, perhaps start me fresh and show me the correct way first hand?
You're welcome to bring a friend, or even if a few of you from here would like to come, that would be great! You could bring your music, critique my system and advise any other upgrades or changes that would suit?
Of course, your generosity will be met with my utmost hospitality, dinner and beverages go without saying. I'm also an avid Cigar and ****** enthusiast and would be more than pleased to shout you a stick and kick back with a smoke should you be interested too.
My system is humble compared to most of your amazing gear, I believe it's really set back by my amp (Yamaha Aventage a710), and I think that correct set-up of my turntable would make the fundamental difference before I step up in upgrades.
I live in Taylors Lakes area of Melbourne. I'll privately provide my address if anyone actually wants to come.
The room.
The Turntable is a ProJect 1xPression Carbon Classic
Kindest Regards,
Elyas.
