I have owned a lot of high end cd players , transports and dac's over the years , when I find something that is exceptional I tend to acquire more than one of them , such is the case with the WADIA WT3200cd transport.
Made in Japan for Wadia in the early nineties it uses the famous Philips CDM-1 mechanism with the Laser often referred to as the everlast.
This laser is a glass lens , encased in a block of aluminium , made to last a lifetime unlike the current crop of lasers even on very expensive players ,designed to last just as long as the warranty period.
The player is built like a battleship , weighing in at a whopping 15KG..and.the weight is in the quality parts not the fancy casing
This one is in truly excellent condition , I can't find any marks , scratches or nicks on it at all and it is completely stock standard unmodified/butchered .
It has been fully serviced by Ultrasystems Jason Boyd , I asked him to go over it with a fine tooth comb , all belts were replaced , rails lubed , mechanism aligned and everything checked and given a clean bill of health.
I am including the original remote which is also in excellent hardly used condition , and the rare to find original transport screws to lock the mechanism down for safe shipping.
Plus original manual ,.....the Wadia will be shipped double boxed with the original box inside an outer box for added safety.
I am also including a brand new set of spare belts , these require changing around every 10-12 years or so ime.
These transports really do perform at a higher level than anything else I am aware of......and btw RRP here in Australia was $5000.
