Extra Info:
This is an excellent tube pre. Has HT bypass and remote control. Unit is in execellent/near new/mint condition. This is a local 240V unit purchased from Caxton Audio. Current RRP is $5500.
Has all the characteristics of the Conrad Johnson house sound, warm, enveloping, intimate and palpable.
I prefer tube based phono stages and I think the best results are often achieved with a low gain tube phono and an MC step up transformer with low output cartridges in order to minimize noise. I have used the phono board with my Lyra Delos with a cinemag step up transformer and the sound has been sensational. The phono stage is meant to be essentially the same as the outboard CJ TEA1. The level of performance with this set up is outstanding, matching if not surpassing such phono stages like the Manley Chinook.
Comes with all original packaging , manual , power cable and remote.
