I am putting out the call for anyone in the Melbourne area that might be willing to donate an old guitar, or other musical instruments.
This is to be given to people being held in detention by Border Force whilst waiting for a determination on their applications for residency (i.e. people seeking asylum).
Some people find that learning and playing a musical instrument helps to pass the time (in some cases this time can be years) and is a nice way to connect with other people.
If you have a decent learners acoustic guitar in reasonable condition that you don't use anymore, this would be particularly appreciated.
