I've been trawling around Stereonet 'search" function for about an hour now trying to find any info on digitizing Vinyl to PC (laptop Win 10),but they all seem to asume that i want to go directly out from the turntable without a phono preamp and therefore require something with riaa equalization as well.
I'm quite content to go from the 'rec out' of my preamp to some sort of interface device , but i'm not sure about the quality or connections of the tons of interface units i see out there.
Also all units seem to assume that the user wants to connect up and record either midi,mic or guitars and only come with either speakon or 1/4" jack inputs.
I'm looking for an interface unit of reasonable quality (around $200 or so )that can connect to my laptop via USB, or the laptops 1/8" input connector, and can take input from my preamps line level RCA jacks.
Just wondering if anyone has experience in this area and can suggest an interface device that will suit.
I didnt know if i should have posted this in Vinyl or the Digital DACs &Computer Audio section but i figured that Vinyl users would be the more likely to have experience in this area.
