KEF LS50 speaker wall brackets?
Hi there guys,
I have a pair of KEF LS50's Im thinking of mounting in the front corners the wall of my future HT room. I have a very curious 3 year old step son and i'm worried about putting these just straight onto my speaker stands. I was wondering if there are any special wall brackets for these without damaging the casing? Or if anyone had any advice on doing this?
Would anyone advise not to do this with these speakers??
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated thanks everyone.

Tube amp – can 12at7/12au7 substitute 12bh7?
Hi guys,
I have a Consonance tube amp that came with a couple EH 12bh7 driver tubes each driving a couple of KT88 power tubes in each channel. I wanted to try some driver tube rolling but there seem to be a limited number of 12bh7 tube options available. I was wondering if some other suitable tubes can be used in the driver position in my amp. I have checked the tube database and it looks to me that 12at7 and 12au7 are both identical to 12bh7 with same pin layout. Before I try one in the amp, just wanted to ask the tube experts here if I am correct in my understanding and if 12at7 or 12au7 can be used in place of 12bh7? Also, which of the two, 12au7 & 12at7, is more suitable as a driver tube?

Gain settings to get the best SN ratio.
Hi Everyone
I want to properly set up my Pioneer LX-52 after putting up with the settings from my previous lounge for way too long.
I've gone through every aspect of options on the unit and have discovered I've got three sections for volume (four if you include the volume from my Pre-amp for the front speakers) and I need some advice.
To get the best signal to noise ratio, how should the volume setting be prioritised??
In my equaliser section, I have a volume for individual speakers called "Trim"
Then in the speaker settings section, I have the option to set the volume of the individual speakers as well.
Then of course, I have the main volume control.
On a separate note, I run my front outs to my pre-amp where the volume control is set to 12:00 o'clock and have set the volume within the speakers section accordingly.
In the same way when running digital music from a computer and they recommend having the volume of the PC at 100%, how should I run the various AVR volumes??

First REW measurement
Hi all, just took my first REW measurement today..... interesting to say the least. Are there any good sites that you guys know of that work through how to address the dips and peaks in laymens terms?
I've read plenty on how to take the readings but not much about how to get close to the unoptainable flat line.
Like are using lots of filter a good or bad thing? How much gain is too much? Simple things like this.....
