G'day all, I was just reading this excellent article on some of the more complex aspects of phono cartridge operation and particularly loading, and yes it is complex stuff! http://sound.westhost.com/articles/cartridge-loading.html off the ESP website, and in particular the very last paragraph is quite sobering in terms of what we can expect from 'records in the real world', regardless of the quality of our respective playback systems.
