Hello Friends
I currently own a Well Tempered Labs Classic TT from the 90's, but seem to be occupied, tweaking, to get the right sound, every album seems different, I just can't seem to get the sweet spot, mainly to bright, I have RCA loadings, on the rear of my phono stage, and am currently, running a Zu Modified Dennon 103, with a recommended loading, of 200 ohm's, but my ears bleed, with modern recordings!!, I have since, loaded the cartridge, down to 40 ohms, that is about right, what I did notice, that there is not much difference, between 200 and 40, enough to tame the brightness, I seem to get caught up with all these adjustments, VTA, etc, which my well tempered allows, me too!!, You know what I miss, just kicking back and listen to the music!!
I have been offered a "Once Analog" TT, with a "the wand arm", once set up, it will stay there!!, I don't have the skill's, to set it up, but the owner, will come down my way to set up, for me, I listen to his rig, with a different, arm, at his place, and sounded great, on his gear, different set up, he has a older set of speaker's, then mine, the things, that we have in common is "Tube Amps", he has a tube phono stage, feeding a tube amp, I have a solid state phono stage, feeding my Push Pull tube amp!!
Has any one out there had any experience, with the "once analog" TT??
Hoping someone can help??
Regards
David
