Im a late arrival to the Head-Fi scene. I do have a couple of reasonable sets of IEMs and Headphones but am looking to upgrade and also invest in headphone amp.
I cant get past this Chord Hugo..I've spent weeks looking at all manner of options from Woo Audio to various Solid Sates. I have a tendency to let aesthetics draw me in...so enter the CHord Hugo. I don't need portability, it's ugly in my eyes and certainly wont add much appeal to my workspace but it seems to be overwhelmingly well received and as good as anything in its price range or even perhaps beyond. It does cater to all the formats I will be playing with inc DSD though that is not a key driver.
SO is this unit as great as the press and general community regard it? I would welcome any opinions. If one had the opportunity to purchase at $1799 do you think that presents great value?
