I have been running these through a NAD 275 BEE and using a Yamaha 2020 receiver as the pre amp and works beautifully. Also run the speakers through a vintage Sansui AU717 and that also worked a treat. I have played just about every genre, vinyl, cd, electronic file, blu-ray etc and they all sound great to me. However speaker preference is mostly subjective. I am more than happy to demo for serious buyers and you can make up your own mind.
