Up for sale is one year old Esoteric K-05 . This is one of best CD player I have owned and has an excellent inbuilt DAC based on the AKM chips. I use it as a DAC on my music server as well. One important note - this has an inbuilt pre-amp and the newer version does not. Hence my decision to go with this over the K-05X, this means you can plug it directly into a power amp and have all your digital sources looked after. I should note that for classical music this unit is unbeatable, the detail and separation between instruments will blow your mind.
As you can see the condition is like new except the one scratch on the top cover
The current retail for a K-05x is $9000, i am selling less than half. Its late of 2014 version.
