Calling all maggie freaks...
I'm not wanting to do any permanent or aesthetic modification to my 1.7's as I may not keep them long term, but I'm looking for local info on changing jumpers and fuses etc primarily to give a bit more oompf and if possible "slam" to the sound. I love what they do for Jazz or slightly laid back musical styles but I also like to crank a bit of Muse etc from time to time and miss the attack/slam I had from my Focal floor standers.
I'm running them from Elektra tube Pre and Elektra Reference power amp so that is not a weak link. Tonight I'm also picking up a pair of Lenehan Ribbontek speaker cables so that side of the equation should be put to bed also.
My Maggies are sitting approx 90cm (toed in) from the rear wall which also has some ~4cm thick 40x80cm fibreglass absorption panels in place. They are roughly 2.5m apart (inside edges) and have another 1.5m from side walls. It's a big room with dinning area behind.
