Fantastic Musical Fidelity A5 upsampling CD player in excellent condition. Exceptional CD player, but I've gone to separate CD transport and DAC so it's time to let it go. MF only made 1,500 of these units, so it's guaranteed to hold its value. It was the winner of The Absolute Sound's Editor's Choice Award and also the Golden Ear Award more than once. Build quality is phenomenal. The player performs flawlessly, and is also in excellent cosmetic condition -- no scratches on any pat of the case. The sound of the A5 is very neutral and evenly balanced. The A5 features Mu Vista 6112 tubes, which Musical Fidelity says will last about 100,000 hours. The A5 has a dual-differential 24-bit Delta-Sigma bit-stream DAC with 192kHz 8x oversampling. Aside from the standard RCA analog output, the A5 provides one optical Toslink and one S/PDIF RCA digital output if you decide to use it as a transport with an outboard DAC.
