I have both a pair of Heil AMT tweeters [out of ESS AMT1s] and a pair of Fostex FW305 woofers-https://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwijg6iaobXNAhXGsJQKHatKB6cQFggfMAA&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.madisoundspeakerstore.com%2Fapprox-12-woofers%2Ffostex-fw305-12-woofer%2F&usg=AFQjCNHG3ZMDc6DHHKCYlqcvZgNuoSMS2A&sig2=Rqa24yNyYv3nfwLMVWDlyQ
These are high medium sensitivity drivers so am looking for an above average sensitivity midrange that can fill the gap between the optimal operational range for the woofer and tweeter-which I am estimating from around 500Hz to about 1500Hz..A midrange which does not require steep crossover slopes would also help
I have tried using the Fostex with the Heil as two way but it does not seem to combine very well.I suspect the Fostex is happiest being used as just a woofer below 500 hz [or maybe a bit lower].
Any suggestions?
