Currently running Ortofon Rondo Bronze MC cartridge and I suspect it is nearing end of stylus life so looking for new cart.
No, not interested in re-tipping, rather just get a new cart.
The Rondo is nice but would like a cart that is a bit more rock n roll.
Before the Rondo I did have a Garrot Brothers P77i MM and rather liked it.
So I am considering the Garrott Brothers OPTIM FGS RUBY as a replacement this time.
It seems unclear, but from what I have read the Ruby is MM (Dynamic Coil) and is not MC
Seen a few reviews about the ruby killing more expensive MC carts.
Anyone have any ideas how the sound of these two carts compare?
