Any of you who are interested in roots/country Australiana and/or remember the late Greg Quill should oughta check out this tribute album to GQ, just being released.
The vocalists are pretty much the surviving cream of late 60s-70s Oz, with a couple of others thrown in: Ross Wilson, Paul Kelly, Stephen Pigram, Shane Howard, Joe Camilleri, Doug Parkinson, Glenn Cardier, Richard Clapton, Russell Morris, Mike McClennan, Kevin Bennett & Broderick Smith each takes a song.
And the songs are really strong, the playing top notch solid - it's like almost any of the tracks could be a single (and one or two of them were, well, in another space and time).
This is an very fine album, and I commend it to you, though I say it who probably shouldn't since I played a little bit on it.
