Extra Info:

This is a consecutive serial number pair of the later generation models.

With the power ratings on these they will drive just about anything to deafening levels. Ironically I've found on my 97db Ribbons 1 amp in stereo sounds nicer than they do in Mono, albeit considerably less drive.. They are 240/400watts into 8ohms stereo/mono.

In December '15 I had one amp fully recapped through both power and output stages, along with having several smaller parts updated, This was done for a total cost of $900 including posting the boards to Bel Canto directly for the work. Both amps also got brand new speaker posts at this time. The other amp remains otherwise untouched, but working perfectly as it should, however it does not sound as good as the unit that has had new parts. The 2nd one would need to be done to have them work well as a mono pair again. If you know someone with the capability to do the work, it would be more like $300 I think in parts, the rest of the cost for me was labour & $100 each way in shipping.

I'd consider to split and sell separately, but only if both amps are spoken for as I have never seen a pair on the used market, but preference will be given to someone interested in both as it would be a terrible shame to split them up anyway.

These are the best in the eVo series, being the only model with a power conditioning board(if this is the right term), running 2 boards full of capacitors, the multichannel versions although offering the same output are completely different inside missing an entire circuit board from the original design in order to fit the extra output amp board in, and of course sharing 1 power supply.

I will get better photos when I can, but I only have my sad old phone camera at the moment.

I've attached a picture of the only scratch I can find, theres also small marks from rubber feet when they've previously been stacked. Bel canto use very nice soft feet which perform well for noise reduction, etc but unfortunately leave a sticky residue on anything they touch :(

Sorry I ramble, I should really take more time to post things!

Auditions encouraged, either come out and have a listen or if you are within reasonable distance I can organise a weekend demo for serious interest :)
