I live in Wagga Wagga NSW and this morning I accidentally slammed the door on my hi fi cabinet while operating my treasured Sonab P400 amp. The immediate result was a loud humming (along with the music)from my Sonab speakers and a smell coming from my Sonab amp. I have the full circuit diagram for the P4000. What is the likely area damaged in the amp do you think?
Interesting how things happen in bunches: the Sharp invertor on my solar generation system shat itself a month ago (a mere 3 months out of warranty) and my great long-serving Yamaha carousel CD player gave up the ghost three weeks ago!
Unaccustomed as I am to posting protocol, I put this same post as a reply to another Sonab P400 amp topic this morning. Sorry for my ignorance guys!
