So this started about two years ago with a pair of B&W Cm5 speakers and a Creative x7 Amp. Had been using cheapo speakers up until that point.
The x7 may not be the usual suspect for a amp but the amount of things I can do with it for such a small package is nice.
Was running a really cheap turntable until I acquired a Rega Rp1 and preamp about six months ago.
Been using this setup until yesterday when I finally purchased a B&W 610xp sub. My curiosity for what a 2.1 setup would sound like was too strong.
Still messing around with sub settings and placement (not that I have many placement options 
) but I've almost got it tweaked to a sound I'm happy with.
My next port of call is to try and integrate some bass traps into the room. Still researching options at the moment 
The sound is pretty good from my main music listening position (further back in the room not the office chain) but the room corners defiantly need some attention.
