For any of you, like me, who are too impatient to wait for Agent Kith to provide Roon support on the Snakeoil platform, here is a work around.
With the latest release, Roon can play to any Squeezebox-like device. Snakeoil runs Squeezelite so it should work and does on my system.
In Snakeoil settings disable LMS so only Squeezelite is running.
In Roon Settings "Enable Squeezebox Support"
Any Squeezebox on the network will show up. In this case I have named it for my DAC.

Once up and running it all seems to work flawlessly.
My wish is ultimately for NAA support to be installed on Snakeoil so I can stream via HQ Player in 2XDSD or 4XDSD. The Atom based Snakeoil server I use does not have the grunt to do the PCM to DSD conversion so streaming from my i7 Mac mini via Roon and HQ Player is the only option.
