I have fitted the Uptone DC conversion unit to this Mac Mini. You will need your own external 12 volt power supply with 2 amps minimum.
The conversion has nothing to do with the fan sensor problem. That existed before I installed the Uptone module.
The issue is that the fan runs flat out. That is until I installed Macs Fan Control software which tamed it perfectly. I have used this software on OS-X and Linux on this machine without problem. The fan then runs normally and quietly.
It has a clean install of El Capitan on it as well as Macs Fan Control.
A 240gb SSD has been fitted as well as the memory upgraded to 8gb.
I will include keyboard (with cable repair) and mouse pictured.
Remind me to find the original internal PSU that was removed.
