Manufactured to AES/EBU specifications, the Proline Digital Reference is the ultimate implementation of the patented Digital Terminator Technology. Configured in a parallel coaxial construction with premium Digital Terminator networks at each end of the cable, this product provides a virtually jitter free signal with maximum RFI rejection. The sonic benefits of the PD are truly impressive, creating dramatically improved soundstaging and imaging. Unparalleled bass extension and accuracy with highs that are clear and musical, without digital harshness.
"Compared to the Audioquest Raven, Nordost Silver Shadow, Kimber Illuminations Orchid, Wireworld Starlight Gold 5.2 and a few others not worth mentioning, MIT Proline Digital Reference AES/EBU was the best sounding cable.
First thing I noticed was the abundance of air around instruments, the sound stage extended beyond my walls. Clean, naturally brilliant highs has a very natural sparkle to it there is no hype or coloration. Mids are smooth and open, flows effortlessly. Each and every instrument is well defined and well extended with velvet black background, literally pin drop silence. Bass is unlike any other digital cable its bold. Very tight and rounded bass with clean hard punch with good pace. Adds weight to the overall sound stage, vocals, male and female really comes to life (to be particular Andrea Bocceli, gives goosebumps). If you are a sucker for mids and Analog sounding bass this cable WILL NOT disappoint you.
While comparing, connecting and disconnecting the cables back and forth I noticed the rest of the cables maintained the same gain except the MIT, the MIT had a db or even a 2db gain in comparison. Always projected the largest sound stage than all the other cables, largest sound stage from any digital cable for that matter. Deep and powerful bass, natural extended highs, smooth and open mids, sonically there is no comparison but then again its not apples to apples comparison, MIT Proline Digital Reference is a cable of a much higher class."
