For very reluctant sale is my pair of vintage ProAc Extended Bass Tablette speakers. These are in excellent cosmetic and functional condition and are featured in gloss black. I recently had the tweeters professionally replaced with new SB Acoustics (by Adelaide Speakers) and the sound is as per new.
These speakers have a great reputation for superb imaging, sweet tonal balance, and bass that surprises. These are not 'tinny' or edgy in any way and will put many 'modern' speakers to shame. They would be suited to a medium sized room.
Also available for separate sale are the stands I bought last month specifically for these, so my preference is for a local deal. The price advertised is for the speakers only*, but I can negotiate an arrangement to include the stands if desired.
This combination was intended as part of a separate bedroom system but never quite eventuated. These speakers are sometimes advertised overseas for 2 - 3 times this price (plus freight and import fees), and replacement for equivalent current ProAcs would be around $3k. The new owner will be very happy with the sound quality at this price, and locals are welcome to audition. Please note these are also advertised 'elsewhere'...
