Item: Cambridge Audio Azur 640P MM/MC Phono Pre
Location: Gold Coast, QLD (will post)
Price: $170 plus postage at cost
Item Condition: Very Good, minor blemish on left side (not visible from front), loose cover on power supply
Reason for selling: Mothballing vinyl for now
Payment Method: Cash, Paypal, EFT
Extra Info: Purchased as an upgrade to my original NAD PP2i phono pre. The Cambridge is a significant step up from the very entry-level phono preamps. Great detail, base depth and response. In fact these are surprisingly good for the money. Would suit first-time vinyl buyer or as an upgrade to onboard phono stage in many amps.
Supports both MM and MC cartridges via rear switch and enables two turntables to be left connected if you wish. Selectable sub-sonic filter. The current model of this is the 651P, with a RRP of $329 and currently on sale at A2A for $270. I've priced this a further $100 below that.
The unit works perfectly, but the rear cover on the wall-wart style power supply has come loose. Rather than attempt to repair this I have left it alone. It doesn't affect the performance nor does it fall completely off. A rubber band secures it presently.
I have the original box, which you can see from the photo was squashed a little in storage while the pre was in use. Manual and power supply also included.
