Love the sound of the my Technics SL1200 Mk1, but the aesthetics are a bit average. The lunar lander legs and hanging down belly pan. Was thinking about building a cosmetic wrap around jarrah plinth (no alterations to the deck itself) to give a more classic look. Of course after a few googles I found I wasn't the first with the idea. There is even a KAB commercial version for the Mk2.
Looks great I reckon, and easily reversible.
