Ortofon 2M Blue and Hum

The blue sounds fantastic but introduced hum. I had no hum with the OM10. I am using the RCA and grounding cable that came with the project debut carbon.
I turned off the TT and the hum disappeared.
The TT is hooked up to my Luxman C03 pre amp .
Any clues, tips and advice how to go about getting rid of the hum?
