Extra Info:

I am the second owner, I bought them from Andrew_S

http://www.stereo.net.au/forums/index.php/topic/52452-blumenstein-orcas-gorgeous-hand-crafted-set-friendly-single-drivers/?p=869782

from his description:

"Lush warm sound and very quick. They also sound much bigger than their size would suggest. A small easy to place single driver speaker that is SET friendly. I ran them with a 2-3 wpc SEP amp to great effect. At normal listening levels in an averaged sized room they are fantastic.

Being a 3 inch single driver they are very fast, really holographic and of course phase coherent. True point source. Set up correctly they disappear completely."

I couldn't have put it better myself. I used them as a desktop speaker with a Jerry Curtis Spud Amp (also recently sold here) and with a Miniwatt N3, with amazing results. At close range the sound is sublime, mids and vocals are simply breathtaking.

Even with very low power they will fill a small room sufficiently.

This is not the most recent revision of the Orca, the current model has had some cabinet redesign, but I'm pretty sure they still use the same driver. To get a pair landed is too close to $1000 USD for comfort, when you factor in shipping.

Mine are the natural bamboo finish. They are actually quite a bit lighter than they appear in the photos.

This is a reluctant sale, because I courted these speakers for ages on SNA and around the web before buying them - the cost to get new ones shipped from the US was prohibitive for me and that was when our dollar was killing it. I had planned to hang onto them for a little bedroom system down the track, but at the moment I'm just not in a position financially to justify using them as ornaments - I would quite happily do this if I didn't need the coin, because they are so beautiful, but you can't have everything.
